How to Apply
At The Ohio Institute of Permanent Makeup, admission is intentional. Our programs are hands-on, structured, and designed for students who are serious about developing the skills, professionalism, and discipline required for a career in permanent makeup. Because of the level of training and support provided, an interview is required for all prospective students prior to acceptance and registration.
Step 1: Submit Your Application
Complete the online student application in full. This gives us an opportunity to learn more about your background, goals, experience, and what you are hoping to gain from your training.
Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance or reserve a seat in an upcoming cohort.
Step 2: Schedule Your Student Interview
After submitting your application, you will be prompted to select an available time for a phone interview.
During this call, you will have an opportunity to:
- Ask questions about the program
- Discuss curriculum, training expectations, and program requirements
- Learn more about the classroom and clinical/apprenticeship components
- Discuss scheduling, tuition, and the registration process
- Determine whether the program is the right fit for your goals
The interview also allows our school director to learn more about you and determine whether OIPMU is the right educational environment for your training.
Step 3: Admissions Decision
Following your interview, you will be notified of your admissions decision within 48 hours.
Applicants may be accepted, declined, or asked to provide additional information before a final decision is made.
